EFL Cup draw? fourth round ties determined

The Carling... sorry, Capital One... no, EFL Cup!
Football, football, football! It just doesn't ever stop, does it?

This week's selection of matches come from the EFL Cup , as the Premier League's big boys enter the competition.

Chelsea and Leicester took part for the first time this season as the Blues edged out the Premier League champions thanks to Cesc Fabregas' brace on Tuesday.

There will also be first outings for Manchester City and Manchester United who received byes through the second round because of their European qualification.

If they advance, they will be just three wins from a trip to Wembley for the final on February 26.

But before we get to the fourth round draw, let's get the all important question out of the way...

What even is the EFL Cup?!
The Football League had a summer rebrand and became the EFL, standing for English Football League (believe it or not).

As a result, their cup competitions got the same change of image.

The EFL Cup is, quite simply, the League Cup. You know, the one which has been known as the Coca-Cola Cup, Worthington Cup, Carling Cup and Capital One Cup.

It has already been regularly confused with the EFL Trophy, which is the old Johnstone's Paint Trophy, but now includes some Premier League and Championship Under-23 teams.

Got it? Nope? Me neither.

When is the fourth round draw?
Whoahhh, steady on! We still have the third round to be played yet.

The remaining ties take place on Wednesday and will determine all of the contestants in the fourth round.

The draw will take place following the conclusion of the match between Northampton Town and Manchester United, which is taking place under the bright lights of the Sky Sports cameras.
